Hello, Dear Reader

Welcome to my world of faith-filled historical romance, where the past comes alive with stories of love, redemption, and God's perfect timing.

I've always believed that the greatest love stories are those that reflect the heart of our Creator—filled with grace, forgiveness, and the beautiful truth that we are never beyond God's reach. Through carefully researched historical settings and characters who wrestle with real faith, I hope to transport you to times when life was simpler but hearts faced the same eternal questions we do today.

My journey as a writer began with a simple desire: to create stories that honor both the romance of the past and the timeless truths of faith. Every book I write is a prayer that readers will find hope, encouragement, and perhaps see God's hand at work in their own love stories.

My Writing Journey

Like many of my heroines, my path to becoming a published author wasn't a straight line. I spent years reading everything I could get my hands on, from Jane Austen to Francine Rivers, always drawn to stories where love conquers all through faith and perseverance.

The idea for my first novel, "Signs of His Love," came to me during a trip through the Colorado Rockies. Standing in an old mining town, I could almost hear the echoes of the past—and suddenly, Sarah and Jack's story was born. Their journey from strangers to soulmates mirrors what I believe about God's providence: He places exactly the right people in our path at exactly the right time.

"I write the stories I wish I could have read when I was seeking hope in my own seasons of waiting."

Faith & Writing

My faith is the cornerstone of everything I write. I believe God gave us the gift of story because He is, Himself, the greatest storyteller. Every book I craft is an attempt to reflect His character—His patience, His redemption, His perfect love.

In my historical romances, you'll find characters who struggle with doubt, face impossible circumstances, and discover that God's plans are always better than their own. These aren't perfect people, but people being perfected by a perfect God.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11

Historical Research

I'm passionate about historical accuracy because I believe our ancestors deserve to have their stories told with respect and authenticity. Before I write a single word of dialogue, I immerse myself in the time period—reading diaries, studying photographs, learning about everything from clothing to cooking methods.

The 1870s Colorado Territory setting of my Silver Creek series required months of research into mining techniques, women's roles in frontier communities, and the unique challenges of life in the mountains. Every detail matters because it helps create a world where readers can truly lose themselves.

Fun Fact

Did you know that women in 1870s mining towns often owned and operated their own businesses? Many were teachers, seamstresses, and boarding house operators who wielded considerable influence in their communities!
